Celebrate community, music, craft and storytelling along the lakeshore at our classic Fall Fundraiser. With the Birch Bark Bash and Unplugged Performance (on Friday and Saturday evenings respectively), classic craft coursework & performance workshops throughout the weekend and the Points North Online Auction and Folk Artisan Marketplace, it’s a true celebration of the educational mission of North House. Evening Performances: Friday and Saturday
Friday night, the Birch Bark Bash, will feature International Guest Jögge Sundqvist in a combined live craft and music performance entitled Rhythm and Slöjd and will include a multi-course dinner prepared by Chef Scott Graden of the New Scenic Cafe. Saturday under the big top will welcome a new performance with returning favorites Kevin Kling, Prudence Johnson, Dan Chouinard, Claudia Schmidt, Dane Stauffer, Simone Perrin and more. International Guests Jögge Sundqvist and Daniel Serra
We welcome two international guest instructors to campus, both visiting from Sweden. Renowned woodworker and craftsman Jögge Sundqvist will teach (Sept. 10-13) and perform on Friday evening. Viking Culinary Archeologist Daniel Serra will teach three medieval cooking courses and give a public talk on Saturday.
Folk Artisan Marketplace
Meet the hands-at-work behind your favorite beautiful and useful items. Baskets, felted goods, carved bowls, wooden spoons, jewelry, leather goods, and more for sale Friday- Saturday. Artisans this year will include Beth Dow, Carol Dunn, Marybeth Garmoe, Todd Hawkinson, Mike Loeffler, Cathryn Peters and Rebecca Utecht.

Thanks to local and regional businesses and artists for their donations and support! From a personal getaway in a cozy cabin to a shopping quest for the perfect North Shore fudge, Points North offers something for everyone with over 170 North Shore classics up for bid! Sneak peek begins Sept 1 and bidding begins Friday, Sept. 7. Funds raised support the educational mission of North House Folk School, so bid high and bid often.
