Carlton County Historical Society 406 Cloquet Avenue, Cloquet, Minnesota 55720
The Carlton County Historical Society welcomes fiber artist Tah'tini Ho'okan to present a program for the museum's "Valentines Lace and Tea" on Saturday, February 14 at 1 p.m. at its museum in Cloquet.
Tah'tini lives in Kettle River and has a studio in Moose Lake, where she teaches and creates a variety of textile and needlework skills. Her Valentine's Day program features the lace making techniques of bobbin lace and tatting. This program compliments the museum's current exhibit "Stitchers and Weavers of Carlton County," which highlights individual women from Carlton County with examples of their handwork. Several examples of Tah'tini's creations are included in the exhibit.
After the program, tea, punch and Valentine's Day treats will be served. Regular admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children under 12, and free admission for children under 5 and Carlton County Historical Society members. The museum is handicapped accessible.
