Veterans Day at the Museum

On Veteran's Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at 1 p.m., the Carlton County Historical Society will present a program about Carlton County Veterans at its museum at 406 Cloquet Avenue in Cloquet, MN.
Two historic Veteran's Memorial plaques will be on view and the museum's director, Rachael Martin, will discuss the veterans memorialized on these plaques. One plaque was recently donated from the Carlton County Courthouse and lists veterans who were employed by the county. Another plaque is part of the museum's current exhibit, Wood City Smokestacks, highlighting Cloquet's wood products industries. As part of the Northwest Paper Company history on exhibit is a World War II memorial plaque of the paper mill's employees.
Refreshments will be served after the program. Veterans will be admitted free of charge for the program. Regular admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children under 12, and free admission for children under 5 and Carlton County Historical Society members. The museum is handicapped accessible.
