Dennis Godfrey Memorial Car Show

The Lake Superior College Auto Club will hold its annual Dennis Godfrey Memorial Car Show from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 19, in the lower west parking lot of the college’s Trinity Road campus and in the automotive program area. This year’s show features a dirt-track late-model simulator. Aspiring race car drivers can take the wheel of a full-size racecar and through the magic of computer technology and a linked hydraulic system, feel like they're driving in an actual race. Activities include a car corral, swap meet, door prizes, music and auto service and auto body demonstrations. Trophies will be awarded in 20 different classes. The car show is free and open to the public, and is sponsored by the LSC Alumni Association and KOOL 101.7. Swap meet and car corral spots are available for $5. Limited indoor display space is available for race and specialty vehicles. All proceeds support educational travel for students in the Automotive and SkillsUSA clubs.
