Jay Cooke State Park offers "Winter Encounters Snowshoe Hike" and a chance to discover the park in winter. After some “how to snowshoe” basics, we’ll head out on the trail to see what we encounter in the woods or along the river. Child and adult snowshoes are available. Please call ahead to reserve a pair at 218-384-4610, ext. 227. Meet at the River Inn Interpretive Center. Although the program is free, a Minnesota State Park vehicle permit is needed to enter the park. Permits can be purchased upon arrival for $5 for the day or $25 annual.
