In May, Adolph Ojard announced his plans to retire this year from the top post at the Duluth Seaway Port Authority. After a summer-long search, the Port Authority has a new executive director: transportation executive Vanta E. Coda II. He’ll take over in October.

New Marquette Hospital in the Works
Marquette General Hospital and Duke LifePoint Healthcare announced plans on Thursday to build a new hospital. MGH officials say that the new 265-bed facility will replace the current regional medical center.
