Stingless wasps aid in fight against emerald ash borer

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture today said stingless wasps released in the state in 2011 may be helping to combat emerald ash borer, the Chinese insect that has been destroying ash trees at an alarming rate.

Among $3 million recommended in Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund grants for the Upper Peninsula, the city of Marquette was expected to receive $1.7 million for new restrooms at three local parks and acquisition of nine acres for the Clark Lambros Beach Park.
