High Water in Northern Minnesota
Following torrential rains of more than 3 inches between May 24 and May 28, 2012, the region of Northeaster Minnesota near Lake Superior experienced high water and flooding on most rivers. The St. Louis River, one of the major tributaries of Lake Superior, was no exception. The video shows heavy water flow below the Thomson Dam near Esko-Thomson Township, just west of Duluth, Minnesota, and at the entrance to Jay Cooke State Park.
