The Bayfield Peninsula in Bloom

Wisconsin's Bayfield Peninsula is renowned for its gardens and orchards. The Winfield Inn and Gardens overlooks Lake Superior's waters in Bayfield.

The Winfield Inn has one of the largest private gardens (it's open to the public, though) in the Upper Midwest.

All of Bayfield celebrates the change of seasons with a month-long Bayfield in Bloom celebration, this year May 16 to June 15, with a variety of events scheduled.

The city boasts 50,000 blooming daffodils.

Bayfield hosts an annual Apple Festival on the first full weekend of October. Lake Superior lies in the background of this blossoming apple orchard.
