The exhibit "Our Place in Time: 1918 Revisited" will run through May 1, 2019, at the Douglas County Historical Society headquarters. With text more than 60 original artifacts, it tells the story of Douglas County, Wisconsin’s role in the world and at home in 1918. The exhibit brings visitors visitors into World War I with the 32nd Division, the effects of the Spanish Flu epidemic and Superior’s role as a refuge for more than 5,000 people who escaped from the largest forest fire in Minnesota history.
