Bruce Carlson on "Field Guides to Minnesota’s Native Plant Communities"

Bruce Carlson, regional ecologist for the Minnesota DNR, will explain the development and uses of the Minnesota DNR’s Field Guides to Minnesota’s Native Plant Communities Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Hartley Nature Center. The program is at 7 p.m.; doors open at 6:30 p.m. for snacking and socializing. The classification system covered by the guides provides a framework and common language for improving our ability to manage vegetation, survey natural areas for biodiversity conservation, and promote the study and appreciation of native vegetation in Minnesota.
