Running for Our Heroes 5K

The fourth annual Running for our Heroes 5K run/walk will take place on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at 9 a.m., on the beautiful campus of the University of Wisconsin-Superior, in Superior, Wisconsin. Registration check-in as well as the start/finish line is all located at the UW-Superior Marcovich Wellness Center, 1810 Catlin Avenue, Superior, WI 54880.

The early registration entry fee is $20 per person. Please register by Aug. 12 to receive this rate. From Aug. 13 to Sept. 23 the fee is $25 per person. From Sept. 24 through race day, the cost is $30 per person. The registration fee for UW-Superior students and military veterans is $15. PK-12 students cost $20 per person. Registration by Sept. 23 guarantees yourself a t-shirt and a swag bag. Late registration includes a t-shirt and swag bag while supplies last.

Prizes will be presented to the top three male and female overall finishers and the top three males and females in each age category. Age categories include 10 & under, through 70+. All race participants will also have the opportunity to win some amazing prizes sponsored by numerous businesses around the area. Each person will have a ticket entered into a drawing. The drawing for door prizes will be held immediately following the awards ceremony.

All proceeds from this 5K Run/Walk will benefit the Douglas County Soldiers and Sailors Relief Fund as well as the UW-Superior Veteran and Nontraditional Student Center. Come on out and support these great causes.
