Art Reception at Two Loons Gallery and Boutique

Two Loons Gallery and Boutique will be hosting a reception showcasing the work of three of our local artists,Thursday January 18, 2018, 6-8:30 p.m.

• Sheila Staubus / Sheila’s Marvelous Stuff
• Anna Liisa Kovanen / Kovanen Pottery

John L. Peyton was a classic Minnesota master dedicating his life to documenting the essence of our northern experience and lifestyle. Come view the wide range of subject matter and media that John employed and talk to John’s granddaughter and son -n-law as they relay behind the scenes accounts and experiences that motivated his work.

Sheila Staubus is a long-time Duluth artist whose fascination with line, color and shape and her fondness to celebrate the ordinary has led her to create a vast array of wonderful and sometimes whimsical potter pieces. Sheila is the manager and an instructor at the Duluth Art Institute ceramics studio, as well as operating her home studio.

Anna Liisa Kovanen is a burgeoning Duluth potter who works at the Duluth Makerspace Pottery Studio to create unique and functional pieces. Come see Anna’s work and speak with here about her experiences growing in the Duluth Art scene.

Two Loons Gallery and Boutique features Art, Gift and Design elements hosting more than 50 local artists and crafters at its location in the Lincoln Park Craft District.
