Bogdiversity A to Z, presented by Phil Hartley
12:00-1:30 pm Meeting at the Lois King Education Center. 8793 Owl Avenue, Meadowlands, MN 55765. This event is free and open to the public.
A light, fun, and highly interactive look at the diversity of Sax-Zim Bog. A to Z: what have you seen? Some letters are easier than others, but rest assured, there are species in our area that represent every letter in the alphabet! Through the talk, we’ll take a quick look at, surprise, surprise, 26 bog residents (both flora and fauna) through photos and fun facts.
Phil is a Minnesota Master Naturalist and four-season frequent visitor to Sax-Zim Bog. He has photographed over 300 bog residents plus an untold number of ones that he has no idea of what they are. Phil approaches photography with an eye toward storytelling. He lives near Two Harbors and has given numerous photo presentations on North Shore related topics.
