Fall Gales Photography Workshop
to
Rock Island Lodge 10 Government Dock Rd, Wawa, Ontario P0S1K0, Canada
The premise of this workshop is to assemble a group of like-minded photographic enthusiasts for a single weekend, creating an atmosphere which will elevate and inspire you, to capture the stunning beauty of Lake Superior and its surrounding wilderness to your best ability. The timing of the workshop builds upon the ballad “Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald”, by famed Canadian folk musician Gordon Lightfoot.
During this workshop participants have enjoyed capturing the fiery nature (and at times the tranquility!) of Lake Superior, the nearby Wawa Badlands, Night Sky Photography, Waterfalls, as well as Lake Superior Provincial Park. Composition, colour, texture and movement are themes that are coached in the field, in addition to technical advice. You will be constantly provided with positive feedback also in the field, as well as during image review.
The venue is based out of the picturesque Rock Island Lodge, a natural setting, at the mouth of the historic Michipicoten River. A gathering space at the lodge is a perfect place to relax, socialize and post-process some of your new work.
