Join local acupuncturist Charles Bishop for an evening discussion of all things sleep. In this class we will discuss the basic science of sleep as well as take a deep look at sleep through the lens of Traditional East Asian Medicine.This discussion will cover physiological changes during the sleep state and common issues that affect restful sleep. We will look at helpful practices and simple home therapies to address commonly seen problems during sleep. There will be time at the end of this class for questions and discussion about the material or to look more in depth at specific sleep issues.
Presenter: Charles Bishop L.Ac is a fully licensed acupuncturist and herbalist and founder of Artemisia Acupuncture in Grand Marais, MN. He holds a Master’s of Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from The American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, now known as The American Academy of Health and Wellness. Charles specializes in both traditional Chinese acupuncture and herbal medicine as well as Korean acupuncture in his practice on the North Shore. He has a passion for teaching his patients to use acupressure and Qi Gong for pain relief and health maintenance as well discussing all things related to Traditional East Asian Medicine. Charles lives in Grand Marais with his wife Grace and two sons.
