Needle-Felted Eastern Bluebird

Students will create a life like Eastern Bluebird entirely out of wool. This project is an excellent opportunity to learn, or perfect the art of sculpting with a felting needle. The technique, also known as dry felting uses a barbed needle and has many applications which we will discuss. We will start by creating the basic shape of the bird. We will then add color and detail, finishing it with black onyx beads for eyes.

The class is open to all, ages 18 and older.
