NEMBA Readings: Meet the Award-Winning Authors

Winners of Northeastern Minnesota Book Awards from the last two years will read passages and poems from their works. Come listen to Kathy Rice (The Pie Place Cafe Cookbook, General Nonfiction 2013), Sheryl Peterson (The Best Part of a Sauna, Children's Literature 2013), Deborah Cooper and Ann ​Niedringhaus (Bound Together: Like the Grasses, Poetry 2013), Peter Geye (The Lighthouse Road, Fiction 2012), Jim Johnson (The First Day of Spring in Northern Minnesota, Poetry 2012), and Polly Carlson-Voiles (Summer of the Wolves, Children's Literature 2012).

Reading teams chose these works as winners of NEMBA for their superior representation of our area's history, culture, heritage or lifestyle. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
