The fourth annual North Shore Water Festival (NSWF) in Grand Marais offers visitors a chance to get wet and participate in water activities and more on Friday, July 21 - Sunday, July 23, 2017 in Stone Harbor.
The NSWF will have experts on hand offering fishing, touring kayak and canoe demonstrations, stand-up paddle board (SUP) demo activities in the harbor, including SUP yoga, plus check out what new water gear and equipment is available this year. Most activities are free to the public, and only require signing a waiver and/or registering in advance for SUP board yoga.
The NSWF has expanded this year to include a film festival hosted by local Voyageur Brewing Company for $10 per person. The $10 fee includes all three films: Superior Dream, When the Waves Call, and Cold Love and a cold pint of beer.
Another new festival feature includes a presentation and book signing hosted by Drury Lane Books on Sunday, July 23 at 5 p.m. Author Mark Neuzil will tell visitors about a book he co-authored with Norman Sims, Canoes: A Natural History in North America.

The North Shore Water Festival is hosted by Stone Harbor Wilderness Supply, with the support of local Grand Marais businesses. A variety of vendors will be on hand to show and offer demos of their gear and equipment.
