Pollinators Gardening
to
Porcupine Mountains Folk School M107, Silver City, Michigan 49971
Learn how to plant a pollinator’s garden and the importance of native plants to wildlife. You will work with a master gardener to plan for the creation of a butterfly garden at your home. Then you will help plan native landscape plantings for the three Park entrance signs in the Union Bay area. Presentations on butterflies provide breaks from toiling in the soil. Students will leave with a Midwest Butterfly Garden seed packet and 2-3 small native shrubs to plant at home and help the pollinators. A parent with a child (6 and up) can register as one student.
Fee: $15. Register online.
