UMD Commander David R. Wheat H.E.R.O.S. Fundraiser

On Monday, July 2, 2018, Minnesota Veterans for Progress, along with the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) H.E.R.O.S. Fund committee, will host a fundraiser for the UMD Commander David R. Wheat Higher Education Returns Opportunities Scholarship (H.E.R.O.S.) at the Duluth Huskies game.

The Huskies will host the Rochester Honkers. The game begins at 6:35 p.m. at Wade Stadium, 101 N 35th Ave. West, Duluth, Minn. Commander David R. Wheat will throw out the first pitch.

Before and during the game, Minnesota Veterans for Progress will be selling the Commander David R. Wheat Challenge Coin. This is a numbered limited edition coin; only 1,000 coins have been struck. The cost is $10 per coin. Minnesota Veterans for Progress will also be selling dog tags at $5 per dog tag.

For each $5 purchase, people will receive a door prize ticket. People who purchase a Challenge Coin will receive two door prize tickets. People who purchase a dog tag will receive one door prize ticket. A door prize ticket may also be obtained for a $5 donation.

Door prize winners will be announced during the seventh inning stretch. All proceeds benefit the UMD Commander David R. Wheat H.E.R.O.S. Fund.
