Upper Peninsula Power Plant to Remain Open
WE Energies and Wolverine Power Collective have joined forces to clean up, modernize and keep open a Marquette coal plant, according to the Journal Sentinel.
Wolverine will become a minority owner of WE Energies’ Presque Isle Power Plant and invest “$130 million to $140 million in environmental controls that will enable the power plant to meet federal environmental rules aimed to protect air quality and public health,” the Journal Sentinel reports.
