Kayakers brave whitewater rapids in Duluth

John McConville repeated as champion of the Lester River Race whitewater kayaking competition in Duluth on Saturday, covering the course of about a mile in 8 minutes, 39 seconds.

We're a bike-friendly region, says the ALA
The League of American Bicyclists has released its 2014 Bicycle Friendly State rankings. Minnesota finished second in the U.S., followed by Wisconsin at number three. Michigan ranked 14th.
