A year ago, Lake Superior was a full foot below its current level, and the Lower Great Lakes were recording record lows that hadn’t been reached in over a century and a half of recording lake level data.
Airline adds service to the U.P.
Chicago-based airline Air Choice One began operating out of Gogebic-Iron County Airport this summer. The major market will be tourists from the Chicago area, especially skiers. The Daily Globe reports from a ribbon cutting complete with Chicago-style pizza and hotdogs.
