Lake Superior's November monthly mean was its highest for that month since 1996. The Lake is now 8 inches above long-term average.

The monthly mean water level of Lake Superior in November was 183.67 m (602.58 ft). This is 21 cm (8 in) above the long-term (1918-2013) November average and the highest November level since 1996.
For the tenth consecutive month, the net water supplies to Lake Superior were above average again in November. The level of Lake Superior declined 5 cm (2 in) last month, which is the average amount the lake declines in November. The Lake Superior level at the beginning-of-December is 22 cm (9 in) above average, and 28 cm (11 in) above the level recorded a year ago at this time, and 46 cm (18 in) above its chart datum level.
The Lake is expected to continue its seasonal decline in December.
