Mary Carlin Dougherty's latest dispatch:
I can add another event with a ‘K’ in it to my résumé— this time it was a 10K ski ‘race’ across the bay between Ashland and Washburn.
Read all about Mary's experience during the annual Book Across the Bay, a race across Wisconsin's frozen Chequamegon Bay, at The Cookery Maven.
Mary first came to Bayfield, Wisconsin, a dozen years ago via the Isle of Skye, the family sailboat, and found "home." Four years ago she and Ted packed up their five children and four dogs and moved to the Bayfield Peninsula. Today she co-owns Good Thyme Restaurant & Catering in Washburn. Mary loves to write about her peninsula life with good food, great family and friends and, of course, the Big Lake. We're pleased to feature Mary's blog as part of our regular blogger favorites.
