Lois Nuttall of Superior Visits stayed up late – 'til 12:55 a.m. – to get this stunning photo last September:
Being on the western side of Lake Superior, it is at times difficult to find a good spot facing north to photograph the Northern Lights. However, I discovered a driving range near my house with a little pond on it and asked permission to visit it at night. It had a couple of spots with nice big trees to provide some perspective and I liked how this one turned out.
We like it, too.
